That is not a small issue. When the hardware fails, the entire product fails. At Westwind Moto, we have paid attention to these details from day one. Every piece of mounting hardware we use is high tensile steel coated with Dacromet, a zinc flake finish that offers far better corrosion resistance than standard plating. It does not just look clean, it stays functional for years to come.
We design everything as a complete system, from the crash bar to the smallest bolt that holds it in place. Because a product is only as strong as its weakest point, and we make sure none of ours are weak.
