DAKAR 2026: Westwind Moto Changes the Game
Westwind Moto has become the first and only motorcycle luggage brand to have its gear tested in the Dakar Rally under the most extreme conditions. Partnering with Italian rider Tiziano Internò on his “Ultra Dakar” project, the luggage was subjected to the ultimate trial.
Tiziano chose the hardest path: entering the Originals by Motul (Malle Moto) class, but going a step further. He carried all tools, spares, and essentials on his KTM 450 Rally bike from the start in Paris, with no external assistance or safety net. To make this possible, Westwind Moto adapted its Ranger Wilds Rackless system to fit a pure race bike never designed for luggage. The custom setup carried everything needed for survival across thousands of kilometers and brutal desert stages.
